Active Baby Company was formed in Dec 2006 by Denise and Julien

Denise has always had a passion for sport coupled with an outgoing personality and a caring nature. Denise decided after she was made redundant from years in an office job that she should go back to her roots and do something she loves!

Having an young son who loves swimming and massage spurred her on and she has undertaken numerous training courses to complement her current portfolio of skills.

Her qualifications include:
NPLQ (lifeguard including use of a spinal board and qualified to a depth of 3m)
STA Baby & Pre-school teacher
STA Beginners Teacher
STA Special Needs Teacher
Touch Learn/GICM Baby Massage Teacher
Birthlight Infant Aquatics Diploma
Attendance on Baby Resuscitation course
BA Hons Degree Sports Science

She is an able mum and wife and loves spending time with her family which is the driver of the business to be able to spend more time with her family rather than in an office! Working for herself seemed the only way to achieve this long term goal!

An active community member having served on the local parish council when it first formed and also a long standing school governor she likes being involved with people and the community.

Julien; the quieter one of the couple (but not that quiet!), is Northampton born and bred, has an IT background so is the “Technical Director”!! He also loves spending time as a family and regularly takes his son swimming and we hope that one day soon he will be able to re-train and take an active teaching role in the business too!
